Time to Workout - Quote - Video


If you are like me, you need constant motivation. Sometimes I feel like blogging other days I just rather pass, same for exercise. I usually don't have an excuse for myself other than I'm just not feeling it. Sometimes quotes help me. Sometimes reading articles that remind me of the areas I want to target help my motivation. Regardless how I got motivated before I always feel better afterwards.

This video was kicking my ass at first! It had all the things I hate plank moves and flutter kicks. I absolutely hate putting my body weight on my upper body. I also hate flutter kicks and similar moves because my plump butt throws me off balance so it makes the move harder or at least I think it does.

Although I complained earlier I enjoyed the feeling it gave me afterwards so I'm going to use this video for my ab focus days this week.

For this video you will need:

  • Dumbbells ( I used my 10 pound kettlbell and then my 15 pound one for the weighted sit ups.)
  • Yoga Mat


I would also suggest skimming through the video before doing the workout. Just so you have an idea of the routine since they change through moves quickly.

Time to Workout - Quote - Video

When I did the video below a couple of weeks ago I went in feeling irritated by dealing with people. I sweated the irritation and blues out with this video. I found it great. I wore my wrist weights (before they broke,lol) and ankle weights with this video. It's a great warm up video for me. I used it as a warm up video for about a week.



For this video you will need:
  • Dumbbells ( I did with a kettlebell and two dumbbells when I needed a weight in each hand)
  • Yogamat there are exercise, when you are sitting and laying down the floor.

Six Word Saturday


Getting rid of emotional burdens. Freedom!

I have been slowly but surely getting rid of things and people that just drag me down. I deleted some social networks that were just wasting my time. That helped me distance myself away from people since I had a problem with being nice for nothing. Now I'm moving to not caring about people who do not care enough for themselves. I did a lot of that earlier this year. It turns out I need to do some more emotional cleaning so I have been distancing myself from people this month. Every time I have standards of how much I'm going to care for people I end up feeling way better. In 2014, I'm not going to allow people to emotional drain me anymore. I have wasted too much time worrying and stressing over other people. It's about time I am truly selfish and focus on me. No distractions.

Time to Workout - Quote - Buns of Envy Workout Video

My legs are super toned. My butt not so much. It didn't bother me until I noticed how firm my thighs were and I think my thighs are starting to overpower my butt to where it looks like I am losing it. No secret my butt is the last thing I want to lose! I'm going to try and build it up and hopefully it will catch up with my legs in being toned.
I was so sore when I began this video. I had an intense workout session the day before. I ended up using two pairs of ankle weights, my wrist weights and a ten pound kettlebell for this video. I would do it again working with the same amount of weights or more ( still haven't worked with my 15 pound kettlebell yet.) I enjoyed the video. I'm going to incorporate this into my weekly routine.

The movie was great. Can't wait to see the third one in 2014.
The pretzel was hard not chewy like a pretzel is supposed to be. So I'm guessing it was old and has been sitting out for a while. I didn't like the customer service either. Needless to say I won't be going to that restaurant again. 

I bought one in small and the rest in medium. I should have gotten all small. I'm taking the three I didn't wear in medium back soon.

Time to Workout - Motivational Quote - Video

 I decided to a change up my lower body routine and try a new video. This video was good but I don't feel like it worked my butt a lot. My legs are toned but my butt not so much. Don't get me wrong I like my butt but since my thighs are overpowering my lower body frame. I want some balance. So I will be searching for a butt exercise video. I should probably take off my ankle weights until then but it just feels weird exercising without them on.

Pizza for Thanksgiving, Cookies for treats.

This week I have been craving sweets. I think it was a combination of it being the holiday season and premenstrual symptoms. I made peanut butter cookies and added white chocolate chips. They came out perfect!! So delicious. They are highly addictive. I had to use all of my will power to stop pigging out and finishing them off in one day!

For Thanksgiving, I didn't want to cook and Bear didn't really request anything. Wednesday we ordered a pizza and ate the left overs Thursday. The pizza was burnt on the bottom. I was upset Bear didn't care about the pizza being burnt so we just accepted it. I think chef tried to make sure it was done but last time it was fine even with all the extra toppings. Next time we order from Planet Pizza (Fairfield), I'm going to make sure that we tell them not to over bake it and light on the sauce. Taste wise the pizza we ordered Wednesday wasn't as good as the last one we ordered for my birthday. It was tasty but without the olives it wasn't BAM! It wasn't I want to eat the whole pie even though I know my stomach can't handle it. Next time we ordering olives for sure.
With our pizza we had buffalo wings that came with a side of blue cheese and celery. They were okay at first. I like my wings better. I splashed some Frank's Hot Sauce on them and they were really tasty after that. ( Frank's Hot Sauce is the best sauce for hot wings and buffalo wings hands down!! ) I would order the wings again since they came up to 59 cents each for the Wednesday special.

Time to Workout - Quote - Chest and Core Workout Video

I remember being in grade school (or middle school) and our gym teacher told me that bench presses will build up the chest to prevent sagging and it's never too early to start.... or something like that. Of course I was a child didn't even have breasts so I wasn't concerned. Now years later I know I would prefer my breasts to be perky for as long as I can have them. I'm a B cup so they never sagged because there is not much weight on them in the first place! 
Thoughts of no-sag boobs have been plaguing my mind since I have started routinely exercising. My biggest hurdle is getting over the fact that I loathe any exercise that requires upper body strength.  I am weak but like the quote says "To find fault is easy; to do better may be difficult" Plutarch. I have been working slowly but surely on my chest area. I do close gripped chest presses (bench press ?) after each video but my routine doesn't consist of full out workouts targeting that area. Knowing this I chose to do a chest video.
This video was intense after I added the ankle and wrist weights. In the second cycle when I had to face one of my nemesis of fitness, (a variation of) the push up. I hated it but of course I felt better after doing the video.

French toast, sushi and more fitness.

Today I'm a tad tired. I changed my exercise regimen to more strenuous this week so my body is getting used to it. I'm going to do the posts about the mini fitness haul (yes, I bought some more stuff,lol) , Chip's Diner review and another Sushi X visit review just not in this post.
