Six Word Saturday + Mall Mini Haul

Sushi, Shopping and reflecting on life.
I photographer asked to shoot with me. I really wanted to shoot because I really adore this photographer's work. Since Bear wasn't able to take me he made it up to me. We went to the mall so he can handle some business. While there I took advantage of H & M buy one, get one free sale. After shopping we went to the Sushi X restaurant in Stamford again. I was a little disappointed in myself because I usually eat two plates of sushi but only could handle one big plate and a quarter plate. On the way back home we discovered another
sushi restaurant called Kumo Japanese Sushi & Hibachi Ultimate Buffet. Their website is www.kumostamford.com . The reviews are decent so we might try that restaurant for one of our birthdays since both of our birthdays are coming up soon.

Sushi X Food

At Sushi X , we both had a bowl of sea weed salad. He ate the edamame. We split the aged tofu and sushi plate. I ate more than him on the sushi plate but I always eat more,lol. For dessert, I had ginger ice cream and he had fruit. I think finished my meal with a couple of pieces of sashimi and a piece of candy.

Time to Workout! - Motivational Quote- Video

 I wasn't feeling it. I went to bed late and woke up from a nap not full sleep. I was suffering from insomnia before a hour and some change later I submitted to taking Wal-Sleep Z. When I woke up from the Wal-Sleep Z, I just wanted to go back to sleep. Sleep sounded better than getting up. I had some energy for a couple of hours of blogging and venting but that's it. I didn't want to anything that required for me to move out of a sitting position. After venting I was emotionally drained. Mentally drained and physically exhausted I wanted to sleep. So to sleep I went.
After my nap, I could barely wake up. I just wanted to go back to sleep. I texted some friends and my sister until I had enough motivation to get up. Since it was getting late I decided I should start dinner. It was my first time making the dish so the prep work took a couple of hours. I was piggy backing off of a couple of recipes attempting to make the dish my own. After my beautiful meal was done, I knew I could do today's exercise. I already baked the meal I have been salivating at the thought of for a couple of days so what is exercising but 30 minutes going to hurt? I already spent more than 30 minutes preparing this meal.

So here I am. I'm typing this blog post drenched in sweat because I finally decided to DO IT. You can too. You already have taken so many steps to get to this point. You already spent so much time doing God knows what else. The time is going to past so spend that time and energy reaching your goals. I could have been watching anime, wasting time on facebook, going back to sleep or any other excuse to distract me. I know what I want and even though it took me a lot of strength to get out of the bed at first I eventually did it. Once I was up the rest was smooth sailing. You know what you want, too. So get to it. Take that first step. You are prepared, so Press Play.

I just suggest space for this video. You do some mountain climbers and some push ups so you need enough space for that.

If you ever have been with someone who have so deeply in love with you that they are obsessed it can be scary. Without giving the movie away Trance is one of the movies that even in a brief scene it shows you how frightening that kind of 'in love' can be.

Time to workout! - Motivational Quote- Video

Tuesday, I didn't work out. This explains why I didn't post a Time to Workout blog post. I'm usually pumped after working out which is great when I want to do the Time to Workout posts. It's more easier to write when I'm motivated. I finish posts way faster as well.
These posts not only are for anyone who needs that extra push but for me as well. When I'm typing I'm affirming my goals. That yes, I do want this. It serves as a kind of proof for me. That this isn't a lingering thought but a burning desire. 
  When my boyfriend is off of work, I have a bad habit of dropping my priorities. I usually don't blog, exercise or tend to other pressing matters when it's our time. I probably shouldn't say it's bad habit. I just devote myself to quality time with him on his off days as so does he.
Today's video is Gaiam's Wake Up Workout Cardio Burn Sculpt from Hulu. To push myself, I put five pound weights on each foot. For the first break, I walked in place. The second break I continued the exercise they took before break and in the third break I did crunches.

 For this video I would recommend:
  • Yoga mat since you will be doing exercises on the floor.
  • Space.
  • 30 minutes. It has commercial breaks.



Fitness quote by CherIf your definition of a great body means you are presumed to be physically fit or 'in shape'. Then guess what buddy you are going to have to work for it. That means you are going to have set aside time and get to it. What better time is now? You are here because there is a part of you that is craving to meet your goal. Stop getting in your way and get to it. You are not going to get there by putting it off, you are not going to get there by a magic formula. You are going to get there by getting your butt in gear that means eating right and exercising.
So, Get to it. 
Stick through the burn because your goal of the great body is worth it.

Happy Autumn! + Quote of the Day + What I'm listening to now

I know I'm late because autumn started Sunday but I just had to say it! Although summer is my favorite time of the year. I have always loved autumn because quite frankly that's the season I was born in so what's not to love! ((lol)) 
I remember when I was child I would go with my mom to parks and neighborhoods with beautiful trees. We would pick our favorite leaves from the ground. My siblings and I would pick vibrant red leaves, yellow ones that were reminiscent of gold and orange ones that reminded us of the pumpkins for the pumpkin pie that we would soon be eating in a couple of months.

As you know, I have been on an exercise kick. I have also been cutting down on my sweets this summer. The reason why I'm worried about what I eat is because I know my metabolism is going to slow down. I also know what I eat affects my boyfriend as well. I cook so I provide most of the food he eats.

Since reading this article last week I have been making small steps into changing the way we eat. He has a problem with eating all on his plate regardless of how big the portion is. I have cut down his portions and if he is still hungry I make him drink water. I plan to keep doing this even after we meet our goals. My goal is getting in to shape and developing a habit of working out, his is loosing weight. Since my portion controlling is backed by research he really can't argue with it. =)

Time to Workout! - Motivational Quote- Thank you Inspiring Thing for Today's Video - Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred: Level 1 video

So today's video  Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred: Level 1 (located towards the end of this blogpost) was recommended by the lovely Inspiring Thing at moon-serenade.blogspot.de. This video is intense. I was once again drenched in sweat afterwards. It went fast (might have been the music). It was intense for my level (I'm out of shape for sure) and best of all it's free to watch on youtube!!

For this video I would recommend:

  • Hand weights. They use them (making you get more out of the workout).
  • A yoga mat because you will be doing a few exercises on the floor.
  • Plenty of Space. When I was doing the jumping jacks my flat screen was moving along with me. It was less than one foot to two feet away from during the exercise. It was wobbling all over the place  which was a tad scary. (I sure do not want to break that!! )
  • You will also need 30 minutes to do the workout without breaks.

So that means if you want to meet your goal whatever that may be you are going to have to do some work. Your desired results will NOT be handed to you by some wishful thinking. That means setting aside time (like now) and forcing yourself to work. In this case for exercising that would mean pushing yourself while you feel the BURN!
(( and yes, you will feel the burn in this video!))

I saw this quote and I had to share. Now I'm trying to figure out when I should post the quote of the days. I'm thinking evenings so I won't bombard posts in the morning (my time). I think it would be better if I spread out the posts than post them so close. I don't know I will decide on something. Moving back to the quote....
Depending on how you define art, depends on how much you can see how true this quote is. There are some people who use their fashion style as a way to express their individualism. Even pushing the limits and social rules of the style they are affiliated with. A few of the ways I like to express myself are modeling my vision for a product or idea and making graphics for my six word stories, quotes and other blog posts.

To give you an example on how one expresses themselves using their fashion I will use Minori. To me her fashion is art.
Her whole ensemble (including makeup and hair) is an expression of her creativity and dedication for sure!
